As the moon rises over our vines this October 31, we’re already dreaming up all the cozy-spooky fun we’ll host for our first full fall season after the Grand Opening in Autumn 2026. Below is a sneak peek at the family-friendly programming we’re planning. We're building on traditions you’ve seen us tease (Sunflower Festival, Pumpkin Patch, and Todhunter Nouveau Week in early December) and taking inspiration from what guests love at other farms and wineries each fall.
Fall 2026 Preview at Todhunter Vineyards
HalloVines & Wassail Night at the Haunted Vineyard
A gentle, kid-friendly haunt weaving through the vines and woods: scarecrows that blink, silly “zombies” that shuffle, friendly ghosts waving from the hedgerow, and a broom-traffic “witch crossing.” Wander lantern-lit paths, with exit points for the littlest goblins and a “not-so-spooky” time slot before dusk. Gather around the bonfires to roast s'mores and listen to ghost stories! (We’re modeling the format on popular haunted trails at wineries—minus the terror—so grown-ups can enjoy a mug of warm mulled wine while kids get a delightful scare.)
Corn Maze & Hayrides
Expect a creative, photo-ready maze theme (think storybook or vineyard lore) with kid-level riddles to solve along the route, plus classic tractor-pulled hayrides looping the pumpkin patch, corn field, and woods. These staples are crowd-pleasers at farms and vineyards around the country!
Pumpkin Patch
Pick-your-own pumpkins, face painting, and pumpkin-painting stations—designed so families can spend the whole afternoon on the hill. (Yes, there’ll be hot cider, mulled wine, and cider-donut vibes.) We love how some vineyards and farms bundle dozens of small attractions into one “fall passport”—we’ll adapt the best bits for Ligonier Valley.
Sunflower Festival (Late Summer → Early Fall Bridge)
Our late-summer Sunflower Festival will stretch into September on good weather years, with pick-your-own stems included in admission and add-ons per stem—an approach that works beautifully at other wineries. Expect golden-hour music sets, sunset walks, and photo stops galore.
Haunted History Mini-Tours (Grown-Up Friendly, Still Tame)
Lantern-led evening strolls through the vineyard lanes sharing regional lore, frontier history, and woodsy tall tales, paired with a tasting flight and a keepsake glass. This format is a proven hit at historic wineries; we’ll keep ours PG-13, with earlier slots suitable for ages 10+.
Weekend Music, Food Trucks, and Makers’ Row
Each October weekend, enjoy rotating food trucks, a small “Makers’ Row” of local artisans, and acoustic sets in the band stand, patterned after the best fall winery festivals where food, crafts, and music round out the day.
Pumpkin-Pairing Flights & Harvest Treats
Think: roasted-pumpkin flatbread with sage, spiced pecans, and a mulled-wine & mug combo as the sun dips. (We love how some wineries make a whole event around signature beverages—count on a Todhunter spin.)
Little Monsters’ Morning
A costume parade for kids, sticker “passport” stations around the property, a not-so-spooky storytime, and a hayride meet-and-greet with our friendliest “ghosts.” (Parents: coffee bar open early.)
Twilight Flashlight Maze Nights
Select evenings, bring flashlights for the maze and s’mores at the fire rings—kept cheerful, not chilling—then cap it off with a star-watch over the vines. Farms that run “after-dark maze nights” report big smiles and great photos; we’ll do it the Todhunter way.
Todhunter Nouveau Week (Early December)
After the pumpkins are gone and the last leaves fall, we’ll flip the set for Todhunter Nouveau Week: new-release tastings, cozy tours, wreath-making workshops, and a candlelit market—our festive bridge from harvest to holidays.
Why we’re excited
We’ve studied what families and wine lovers love most about fall at farms and wineries—mazes, hayrides, kid zones, lantern tours, live music, and strong photo moments—and we’re building a lineup that feels uniquely “Ligonier Valley,” rooted in our landscape and community.
If you’re as pumped as we are, make sure you’re on our email list and follow us on Instagram (@TodhunterVines) for opening updates, volunteer days, and early-bird tickets as we get closer to Fall 2026. Until then—have a safe, happy Halloween, and we’ll see you among the vines soon.
