Vitis vinifera 'Saperavi' is a red teinturier grape native that has been cultivated in the Republic of Georgia for at least 3000 years. Wines made from Saperavi grapes are full-bodied, deep-red, with good astringency and aging potential. This variety of winegrape is rarely found in the Americas.
